Well, looky here! Mike and Julie are blogging! Say whaaaa?! As our lovely JSi peeps know, it was you who helped us rock out an amazing Fall, therefore blogging about it all went straight out the window. Well… we thought it was about time to start sharing some of our favorite recent imagery.
Although Chris and Randi tied the knot last summer theirs was a day that just sticks with ya. Home-y is really the best way to describe how we remember feeling throughout their entire wedding day. It was really something to be welcomed in and treated like family from the very beginning of the day. We just felt at home with everybody. I do think the setting for the day (Loose Mansion) really made that feeling of home come together as well.
Some favorite moments from the day? I, Julie, gotta say one of my faves was the jar of Nutella Chris gave Randi. Well, Nutella and a spoon (good man) along with a sign that read, “I’m sorry for what I said when I was hungry.” Bwahaha…. And do you know what she did?! She grabbed that spoon like the cool, confident woman she is IN HER WEDDING DRESS (which was frickin’ out of this world, by the way) and ate that Nutella! Right there in her dress… with a huge, beautiful smile on her face. Yessssss…… That’s my kinda girl! Randi is just the most joyful person I think I’ve ever met. She has this zest for life that spills out onto everyone around her. And that smile of hers has GOT to be what sealed the deal for Chris! After meeting her parents, man…. we see where she gets it!
Another favorite moment was during the ceremony, small as it was, it’s worth noting. As Randi put Chris’ ring on his finger she simply could not contain her joy at that moment and we were so blessed to catch it. And that’s the other thing we want everyone to know about these two wonderful people. Their day was centered around uniting their lives in marriage, not about a wedding. THAT right there, makes all the difference.
Chris and Randi, thank you, THANK YOU for making us part of your day. It was such an honor to be there!
