What a spectacular day it was for Chris and Jessica’s Kansas City Boulevard Brewery Wedding back in May! As you all know, we’ve had a roller coaster of weather possibilities this Spring. But, as they say, it’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day. Chris and Jessica had the best of both worlds on their day – a little bit of rain (while they were still getting ready, whew!) and beautiful weather too. It’s a win-win!
We started our day at the National Golf Club of Kansas City (in Parkville), where we were lucky enough to get the lodge while everyone got ready. We even had some cigar club action downstairs for the guys getting ready. What a slick setting for the fellas. As the rain cleared, our golf cart entourage headed out to the best location on the face of the earth ever… Have you seen the covered bridge at the National? Breathtaking! Jessica was absolutely drop dead gorgeous and stunning in her dress.
One of Jessica’s big visions for the day was color. We L.O.V.E. how she pulled it all together. Each bridesmaid had her own color/type of flower for their bouquets. Jessica and the flower girl, beautiful daughter Juliet, had a mixture of each type of flower. Stunning. The theme was carried over into the reception where Studio Dan Meiners knocked it out of the ballpark with the floral design. One super awesome detail the couple added was Chris’s one-of-a-kind artwork on the table globes. Holy cow, so cool!
I must also add that the speeches were heartwarming and such an honor to document. It’s one really great part of our job, capturing the toasts. So many wonderful things to say about the couple. Jessica’s son, Max, I think clearly one the award for top speech that night. So awesome! That kiddo is going places!
Chris and Jessica, thank you so much for making us such a huge part of your day! Thanks to all for stopping by to see this beautiful wedding. Leave the newlyweds some love in the comments!
