If you’re looking for something a little rustic, a whole lotta sweet, then look no further! Cameron + Charlotte’s wedding, set on her parents’ beautiful backyard in the country in southern Olathe (gorgeous!), was hands down one of the most beautiful outdoor weddings we’ve ever documented. Don’t believe us? We have the photos to prove it!
First things first, a little bit about this awesome-sauce couple and their day:
Charlotte: an amazing hairstylist at Affinity Salon. In fact, you’ll catch many images of her doing her bridesmaid’s hair below. Cameron: a conductor for BNSF railroad. (I am still trying to get him to let me ride a train!)
We met Charlotte a couple of years ago when she asked us to surprise her parents with a portrait session. We had such a great time with all of them. So duh, of course, we were thrilled when Charlotte let us know she was engaged to Cameron and wanted us to take their engagement photos and document their wedding!
The ceremony took place at her parents’ home in southern Olathe. Such an amazing property and atmosphere for their day. The temperature and sun couldn’t have been better and the view for the ceremony was breathtaking. Just as the ceremony location had special meaning for these two, the reception venue had REALLY special meaning. Their party took place at the Lenexa Chamber of Commerce barn which is located on the Lackman-Thompson farmstead. Why was this location so special? A little hint for you… Charlotte’s last name is Thompson! The house and the barn where the reception took place was Charlotte’s great-grandfather’s property who purchased it from William Lackman. Recognize that last name don’t ya… pretty crazy huh?!
Well, enough with the history lesson. Go see for yourself in the pictures below. Be sure to leave the couple some happy comments!
