Sometimes it pays to be late.

 Well, in THIS case it did, anyway. Can’t say I’d recommend it all the time though. Through no fault of his own (long week at work, a well-intentioned nap, and an alarm that didn’t go off) Dan just had a run of bad luck getting to his and Megan’s first date on time. Luckily, she’s totally amazing and at that first date they realized they both had too much in common to let a little thing like being late matter. Fast forward to a house and two cats later (Yay! Fellow cat peeps!) it was time to make it official for life.

So, on an absolutely perfect and stunning Spring day this May, Dan and Megan got hitched! This was our first time shooting at Lake Quivira, and it was just about the most romantic place we’ve ever seen. Truly like a place out of time. We had warm, beautiful sun during the ceremony and just to show you all how perfectly attentive and wonderful Dan is, he noticed the sun was in Megan’s eyes during the ceremony so he went up on his tip toes to block it for her. How sweet! You’ll see that image down below as you scroll through some of our favorite images from their day. The clouds rolled in right after we finished family pictures giving us perfect light for some intimate and beautiful pictures on the dock of the lake.
