Mommas: It’s okay to feel nervous before a session!

We get it… you want things to go well for your family session this year. You wonder if your kiddos (and hubby) will behave! Sorry dads… ya know it’s true. It’s stressful enough just trying to keep everyone in a good mood, keep food off clothing, and the kids from dishing out black eyes in the back seat on the way to the session. You haven’t even made it to the hard part yet… THE ACTUAL SESSION! Oh, and you’re hoping you don’t look like the frazzled mess you feel like on the inside! Amiright?

Don’t let your worry ruin your experience! 

Don’t worry about your kid’s behavior at the session. Hard to do, we get it. But we say stay positive and try to roll with it… we promise to take care of you on this. We say you can ABSOLUTELY have a great photo experience and stunning photos, even if there are a few kiddie Chernobyl moments along the way. 

Also, don’t let dad fool you. He’s gonna have a great time. We’ve got a pretty great track record with dads and it isn’t uncommon to hear them say they actually had FUN! So, we’re comfortable with proclaiming we are officially “Dad Approved!” Here is some proof!

Does the thought of your high-energy kiddo sitting still for even one photo make you break out in hives? Not to worry, we <3 squirmy little people. Keep in mind, our sessions are less about sitting and smiling at the camera and more about families just having fun together. Of course, we’ll get at least one posed, smiling at the camera photo, but don’t worry… we have some tricks up our sleeves!! Be sure to check out this post if you have high-energy kiddos!

Regarding the food on clothing… Well, you’re on your own, there.

Choosing a photographer you TRUST is key. Make sure you find someone who will take the time to talk through all your worries ahead of time and lead you through the session when those bumps in the road come along.
