Choose your adventure!

Let’s talk locations! The following inspiration boards are to help you decide which location/type of location is the best fit for you. Some things to keep in mind when considering your location are the time of day, time of year, temperatures for your shooting time, as well as whether your session is on a high-demand weekend time, or less crowded weeknight. All of these things will impact how your session goes at any given location. So, grab a cozy beverage and enjoy looking through the possibilities!

SEASONAL NOTES:

Late Fall – Outdoor sessions shift to afternoons only, as that’s the warmest time of day to be outside. With the sun setting very early (and the end of Daylight Savings Time) sessions have to start earlier and earlier, making weekend time slots more popular. We stop doing outdoor morning sessions for families with young kiddos due to cold temps.

Winter – We have access to a stunning century-old greenhouse (honestly it’s good anytime of year), or your home is always a perfect way to tell your own personal story.

Spring – This is a great time to hit urban locations as you’ll never notice the lack of foliage on the trees. You can expect full foliage by May. This is another time to keep an eye on Prom-goers at popular locations on Saturday evenings.

Summer – It’s best to stick to mornings and evenings to avoid the heat of the day. Mornings come with less heat, but more humidity.

Early Fall – This is the best time of year for your outdoor portraits. Even though the middle of the day comes with heat, the mornings and evenings are gorgeous! Do keep in mind that Homecoming is a factor for popular locations on Saturdays.
