Look at us, blogging twice in one week, watch out world! This was one of our fave weddings from last Fall and we feel like the world needs to hear more about these two!
The first word that pops into my head as I sit down to write about Grant and Lauren is the word laughter. Lauren is one of those people who lifts a room up just by entering it. We’ve noticed that her modes are happy and extra happy. She sees the world, all the good and the bad, and chooses to have a smile on her face, joy in her heart no matter what. I think that’s a lesson that we all could use from time to time. Enter Grant: he loves laughing alongside her and taking care of her. He probably wouldn’t admit it, but he loves to stand back and watch her shine, adoring her vivaciousness. And it doesn’t hurt that these two are not afraid to let their romantic side show when we have our cameras out!
Favorite part of the day: Oh guys. I don’t think it’s possible to answer this with just one. There are too many. Lauren and the relationship she has with her mom was one of the coolest things to capture. She lost her dad a while ago. And although we could see how much she misses him deeply, we could also see how close she and her mom are. So, many of my (Julie’s) favorite moments all seemed to be wrapped up in their relationship. Watching her hand-pick which one of her mom’s rings she would incorporate into her wedding attire was cool. Her giant, heartfelt hug at the end of the aisle, her first dance with her mom… and then her sisters joined in… that part just ended me. How beautiful to watch this family celebrate life in this way!
Oh man, there’s still SO much more though. The toasts!!! We so so SO wish you could have been there to hear those. And who could forget Grant’s EPIC garter removal dance! Yes, there is ABSOLUTELY an image of that below 🙂
Grant and Lauren, we hope our time with you is not at an end! You two are way cooler than we’ll ever be and we can’t wait to watch the adventures that unfold for you and your marriage!
