What better location than Belvoir Winery for this breathtaking and romantic couple’s wedding. Romantic you say… well yes, I do! Peter and Amber began their relationship just like many others have. They started out as friends and it evolved into much, much more. So where’s the romantic part? Hold on… we’re gettin’ there. They shared their first kiss in the street just outside her house. The only thing that could have made this scene any more romantic is if it were foggy and lightly raining. Peter proposed to Amber around their 6th anniversary at fireworks display on a trip to St. Louis. Knowing they had planned this anniversary trip, Peter went on a secret mission to St. Louis weeks prior (keep in mind they live in Illinois) to have her engagement ring made so that it would be ready in time for their trip. Say what?! Yep, way to go man. It’s things like this that show how amazing their relationship is. And, you’ve got to check out their engagement session (link here) and their wedding day images below… There’s a beautiful genuineness to their portraits that is hard to put into words. One thing that makes our job SO MUCH FUN is when couples (and families for that matter) allow us to capture that special part of their relationship.
The wedding day was just beautiful, every single part of it. Peter and Amber’s ceremony took place out on the front grounds of the old Odd Fellows Home that is now Belvoir Winery. This place has a pretty cool history. Check out their website or follow their Facebook page, they have some great info. We had a blast with the bridal party when we took them on a bit of an adventure around the grounds. We found some beautiful vignettes, off the beaten path and rarely used, that make some beautiful portraits. You know us, we really like to look at things with a unique perspective. Let us know what you think of our choices! The reception took advantage of the the ideal September evening and was split between indoors and outdoors. How awesome! The toasts were made on the front walk of the home, lit by beautiful warm candles and string lights. The party, aka dancing, took place in the ballroom. Oh! And to match the awesome and fun personality of these two dinner was prepared and served… food truck style! Yeah baby!
So thanks for stopping by to check out Peter and Amber’s wedding day. We were pretty dang blessed to be there. Congrats guys!!!
