This was a first for JSi Photography. We were asked to document Dwayne + Stephanie’s elopement at The Elms Hotel in Excelsior Springs, MO. It was such a sweet and intimate affair that I was blessed to be a part of. Not only was I there to document this beautiful event, but I was also there to serve as a witness to their marriage. What an honor!
When we were first contacted by the wedding planner for the event, Erika from Eco-Posh Events, I was thrilled. Not only was this going to be a new experience, but it was taking place on the grounds at The Elms, which as you will see, are gorgeous!
Dwayne + Stephanie were amazing and they completely rocked the portraits. They are so much in love and not afraid to show it…which didn’t hurt! Stephanie told me she was wanting some of the portraits to be down at the stream that flowed through the grounds. So I took off my dress shoes and socks…rolled up my pants…and walked out into the stream (I only nearly fell three times). The lovely couple kicked off their shoes for a few pictures and got their feet a bit wet as well. We were all a bit warm with feet that were pruning, but the end result was worth it.
