Where do we even start with these two crazy kids? Christian and Joanne are two of the friendliest, funniest and down to earth folks you’ll ever have the good fortune to meet. My (Julie’s) first experience with Joanne was at the Kansas City Ballet where this freakin’ awesome ballerina stood next to me at the barre and whooped pretty much everyone in class. So, I guess the place to start is to mention that Joanne is a ballerina! She is currently the Operations Manager and Rehearsal Assistant with Owen Cox Dance in Kansas City. How cool was it to hear from her when she got engaged!? I don’t know if she even knew we photographed weddings when she contacted us, but we consider ourselves pretty blessed to be photographing their wedding this weekend. They are two wonderful people.

Both Christian and Joanne are from opposite sides of the country and through various circumstances made their way to Kansas City. They have fallen in love with this city. We were all excited to make their engagement session a reflection of their love of KC. So, of course, the Liberty Memorial was the perfect place to take advantage of the our beautiful skyline. And we will have to show you the supa-fly wedding invitation we designed for them. What?!? You didn’t know JSi designed wedding invitations? Well, we’ll have to show you our unique cards sometime soon! Seriously, this invitation, sooooo cool, thanks to our collaboration with them to create a distinctly KC invite!

One of the coolest things we’ve discovered about Christian and Joanne is that they love to laugh together and have fun, but at the same time, are incredibly sweet and tender with each other. A dynamic that we hope we’ve done justice to capture so far and cannot wait to witness on Saturday.

Christian and Joanne, this weekend is going to be so wonderful! We’ll see you SOON!
