We love this crazy, happy family of four-yes we do! What a perfect night for a relaxed, outdoor family session it was! We have not had the typical Kansas City summer that we’re used to. This was probably the last of our cool evenings before summer actually hit. We met up with the Hardy family for little bro’s one year session. He has been the perfect addition to this happy family. We’ve had the privilege of photographing these guys since big sis was six months old. And look how grown up she is now! What is so cool about photographing the Hardys is that they appreciate documenting it all. Yes, just as you can imagine with a three year old and a one year old, there are some bumpy moments. But, they’re not afraid of those moments and they want us to capture them even! I am so excited to show you the beauty that came out of that session. I even left in a few really real moments at the very bottom. Hee hee, check em out.

My heart is in photographing children (Julie) for so many reasons. Maybe it’s because I am a teacher at heart. Maybe it’s because I see kids’ honesty and transparentness as something to cherish before it disappears. I just love capturing the essence of children’s personalities! Add in a really cool mom and dad and I’m in photog heaven!
