We love senior photo sessions. No, not necessarily the ones with our silvery haired counterparts of yesteryear… we’re talkin’ the high school variety. They bring a certain life to a session that only they can… not to mention a very “them” style. This usually spices up the session for us because each session is this unique experience. Sometimes it can the clothing choices… sometimes the personality… other times, like in the case with Jake… it’s the location choice.
One of Jake’s favorite things to do is go shopping at antique stores. This is something we enjoy doing from time to time as well, but not something you typically hear about a high school senior enjoying. So we figured, let’s do a chunk of his session in an antique store! Why not? It was so much fun finding little vignettes throughout the store to not only show off Jake, but showcase some of the eclectic items one might come across in a store of this genre. Exhibit A: The upside down Wicked Witch of the East legs wearing ruby slippers. See, now we’ve peaked your interest… have fun searching for those legs! After we wrapped up our time in the awesomesauce River Market Antiques (and Jake’s constant ogling over anything he saw Marilyn Monroe) we headed out in search of distinct outdoor locations.
Enjoy looking though some of our favorites from Jake’s session!
OH!!! Wait! Don’t go yet… I almost forgot. We photographed Jake’s sister for her senior photos about 6 years ago. There was one hilarious image of Jake we took during her session. He remembered it and wanted an updated reenactment during his session. Be sure to hang around until the end of the post to see this side-by-side throw back from when he was a wee little fella’! 😉
