Kansas City Dance Photographer :: Gwen
Note: JSi Photography is now MIKE + JULIE | storytellers. Be sure to check out our Dancer Portrait page here!
This post is maybe one of my proudest ever… As many of our JSi peeps know, I <Julie> started my adult life out as a ballet teacher. Photography came later, and that love will never go away. Now, as a Kansas City Dance Photographer I get to merge my two passions! A number of years ago this beautiful 14 year old young lady named Gwen came to our studio for the first time. It was the beginning of a journey that makes my teacher heart so incredibly happy. Gwen discovered her love of ballet a little later in life, as did I. It was so nice to see such a avid seeker of knowledge and eagerness to improve. We spent much time together in lessons and preparing dances. Well, she’s all grown up now. I was privileged to attend her senior performance at UMKC and see how far she has come as a dancer and as a KILLER choreographer. In fact, she’s so awesome, we all said our goodbyes as she moved to Denver to dance with Kim Robards Dance. I am so so SO proud of her and haaaaad to squeeze a photo shoot in the day before she moved. Yes, I’m presenting these images a little late, but nonetheless, ENJOY!!
Let me know if you’d like to be part of my professional dancer series!
